Does moissanite sparkle more than a diamond?

Moissanite bends light harder than diamond does. That produces more coloured fire, and less of the white return most people picture when they picture a diamond. Neither is better. They are different effects, and the difference grows with the stone. Below half a carat, few people could tell them apart. Above a carat, most could.


Is moissanite as hard-wearing as a diamond?

Diamond sits at 10 on the Mohs scale, and nothing else reaches it. Moissanite sits at 9.25, which is harder than a sapphire and well beyond what daily wear demands.
